We recently had the honor of bringing the beat to the Moreno Wedding. That was such a fun gig, and everyone was ready to celebrate! DJ Moe brought along Mrs. DJ Moe (Theresa) to help. (Mrs. DJ Moe took all the photos in this post.)
The Rabb House is a beautiful venue for a wedding. At the rehearsal the night before, we pretty much resigned ourselves to the fact that rain would force us to have the ceremony under the balcony. On the wedding day, however, the rain broke just long enough to have the ceremony on the stage and get some pictures afterwards. With the green foliage and lazy river as the stage backdrop, the beige and gray colors of the wedding party really popped! DJ Moe provided the music for the ceremony, of course, and the entire ceremony went off smoothly.
Partying with DJ Moe at the Moreno Wedding
After the ceremony, everyone moved up to the banquet hall, and DJ Moe provided the introductions of the bridal party. DJ Moe considers that one of the better perks of being the DJ! With the intros out of the way, the happy couple had their dance. They floated around the dance floor to the beautiful song of Touching Heaven by johnnyswim.
The couple had requested country music, so we provided some easy country tunes to accompany the food service. The event was catered, and the food sure smelled great!
With dinner behind us, it was time to get the party started! Right off the bat, a guest requested that DJ Moe play Tootsie Roll (69 Boyz). Because there seemed to be a little confusion about the speeches coming up next, DJ Moe looped and chopped the song until they were ready to speak. Thus, I think the audience got a little tootsie-rolled out by the time he was finished. However, they took it all in stride, to their credit.
After the speeches, the party for the Moreno Wedding was on in full force! DJ Moe did a bang up job of keeping up with all the requests, and the dance floor stayed pretty full for most of the evening. After the cake cutting, the groom and his mother took to the dance floor for the mother/son dance, swinging to Blake Shelton’s The Baby. After that, guests gave up their bucks for the Honeymoon/Dollar Dance. The bride sang a special song to her new husband, with live guitar accompaniment by one of her friends.
…so glad we had this time together
Before we knew it, it was time to toss the bouquet and the garter, and then wish the bride and groom well as they departed. Guests continued to request their faves and dance until it was time to shut it down.
Some of the guys pitched in to help DJ Moe break down his set. Clean-up also went very quickly, and thus, it was time for us to leave.
Denni Ruze Productions, as well as DJ Moe and Theresa, would all like to wish the newlyweds a lifetime of happiness! Thank you so much for having us!!
